2 SSE Athens - 6 NE Hillsboro A tornado started right onshore just east of the Browns Ferry Power Plant. The tornado skipped up and down as it moved northeast moving up north of Tanner before it finally lifted for good. The worst damage was where it touched down east of the Power Plant, with snapped tree trunks, and also near Neely Hill Loop, where the roof was mostly taken off a house.
