Event Narrative
An F1 tornado began just west of Gallant in western Etowah county. Hundreds of trees were snapped and uprooted from 1 mile west of Gallant to 2 miles west of Attalla. One trailer was flipped over on its top, and it lost more than half of its metal roof. One old barn lost its entire roof. Another trailer, about 6 miles east-northeast of Gallant, lost its roof. Several trees fell onto homes along the path.
