1 WNW - 1 ESE The Wye NWS Birmingham survey team was able to find very minor and spatially isolated timber damage along Tutwiler Rd. This was the only damage observed on the survey. RADAR indicated a TVS and subsequent TDS northwest of AL Hwy 69 in an inaccessible area. The weak, brief, narrow tornado caused little consequence. Start: 33.6237/-87.3830 End: 33.6122/-87.3514

A NWS Birmingham survey team was able to find very minor and spatially isolated timber damage along Tutwiler Road. This was the only damage observed on the survey. Radar data indicated a weak TVS northwest of Highway 69 in an inaccessible area.
A very dynamic and deepening low pressure system moved through the Ohio Valley states on November 29-30 with a trailing cold. The air mass across Central Alabama was initially stable during the day on November 29th with surface dewpoints in the 40s and 50s. Instability increased dramatically the evening of the 29th as 60 plus surface dewpoints advected northward into Central Alabama. A QLCS developed ahead of the approaching cold front in addition to discrete thunderstorms.
