3 SW Fowlers Crossroads - 2 SW Fowlers Crossroads National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed damage in Fayette County near Flynn and determined that the damage was consistent with an EF-0 tornado. A brief, weak tornado touched down near the intersection of Flynn Road and Alabama Highway 102. This location is about 3 miles southwest of Fowlers Crossroads or 10 miles northeast of Fayette. Some trees were knocked down along the short path. Minor roof damage to an outbuilding occurred near the end of the path. The tornado was 0.3 miles long and was 50 yards wide at its widest point. A warm front moved northward during the day on Tuesday, November 29th, and surface temperatures climbed into the 70s across north Alabama. Low level shear and storm relative helicity increased over west Alabama Tuesday evening and discrete supercells developed over west Alabama.
