A quasi linear convective system rolled quickly out of the lower Mississippi Valley and into the central Tennessee Valley in north Alabama during the late night on the 19th and early morning hours of the 20th. The line produced widespread winds of 40-50 mph (measured in a few locations) with locally higher wind speeds. As a result, numerous reports of minor to moderate wind damage were received as the line moved through.
